Bing is my second bunny pet that I got after BanhMi (the bunny). So pretty much I can confidently she is the pet for our pet.

Bunnies are social animals and if you don’t provide them enough socialization, they will get lonely. The short story of me getting BanhMi was that I got him during Covid when everything was in lockdown and if you do work it is either from home or you can only go home afterwards.

Once lockdown was lifted and everything was going back to ‘normal’, I had less time for BanhMi as sometimes I go out to see my friends. So that’s why I decided to get a companion for BanhMi.

I got BanhMi from the breeder and part of me was feeling guilty of not getting a pet from RSPCA (adoption center) here in Australia, so this time I decided to make up for it and get a pet from RSPCA. On that note I just want to say that no one should feel guilty or made to feel guilty about not adopting the animal from the shelter. No matter where people get their pet as long as they understand of the commitment and have thought of all the challenges of owning a pet and they are getting a pet and not just a fun toy.

So how did John Cena contribute to her name? My first bunny is BanhMi that is popular bread roll in Vietnam and very tasty… When I decided to get second bunny it was joint decision of myself and my partner.

We wanted to apply the same naming concept:

My partner is Chinese, and he really loves ice cream. At that time there was a very popular John Cena’s meme going on in China where he speaks Mandaring and says something about ice cream and we were both all over that meme.
