If you never seen us @zaicheeky in any of our other social media platforms, you probably will be thinking that this article is about history of Vietnamese bread roll ‘Banh mi’. And when first landing on this page you see this bunny photos everywhere.

Well, just to say that this is not the post about Vietnamese bread roll’s history nor the review of any of the popular shops here in Australia.

It is just the story of how I got BanhMi… the bunny!

The story begins with Covid when I was lonely during lockdown, as an introvert I still was missing my social life and seeing my friends. AND I was stressed at work to add ‘fun’ into that. I saw so many posts on how once people get their pets and they life got better because they lighten up your daily routing or because they now have someone to care and live for. And all that motivating stuff.

So I couldn’t afford cat or a dog because I was renting one room and having dogs and cats are more expensive…. Well, I thought bunnies are cheaper, but bunny owners might say something about ‘bunny pets are cheaper’.

Funny enough I already had a name in mind… which is BanhMi and I just needed to find the bunny that matches the name.

This is the post of Banhmi I found when I got him and I thought this is it! I pulled the trigger, and I got bunny that matches the name in my head.

Well… back to the point where people were having pets and their life got better because their pets lighten up their life… Maybe I should have looked at the ‘success’ statistics somewhere online. SOOO… I was stressed at work and lacked social life because of lockdown BEFORE and NOW I am stressed and lacked social life and SLEEP on top of that.

Living with a bunny in one room with a bunny wasn’t fun, because BanhMi was very active at night. So, I wasn’t able to sleep, and it was sleepless night. Probably those happy stories forgot to mention that transition period when your pet is getting used to your environment. WHICH I KNOW…I KNOW… I should have known then but I do now!
